You've Got Google Apps!
Your new UMICH Google account has given you access to 40+ Google services Two important things to remember:
-
You cannot access Google Mail and Calendar yet. They will be added to your Google account on June 18th.
- You choose if and when you want to use these new services. Other resources (like CTools and Microsoft Office) are not going away.
I'm ready now! How do I start?
Before proceeding with the following log in instructions, please read about Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and Conflicting Accounts.
-
Open your web browser and type docs.umich.edu into the address field, then press ENTER on your keyboard.
-
This takes you to U-M's standard Weblogin screen. Enter your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password, and click "log in."
-
For this first log in only, you will be presented with the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Click "I accept" if you wish to continue.
- This takes you to Google Docs. Use the black bar near the top of the page to open additional Google apps.
I'm not ready yet. Can I get more info?
No problem. The best place to start is the M+Google project site: This page has most of the key info you will need. You can also contact techservices@umich.edu, or contact 4HELP if you have questions.
